Beach Wave Extensions

The texture of naturally wavy hair: loose, irregular and deliberately imperfect.Beach Wave has a soft, tousled pattern with different-sized waves running through the lengths.

Unlike a uniform body wave, the bends don’t all fall in the same place, giving the hair the variation and movement you’d expect from a natural wave pattern. It’s an easy texture to wear as it is, or to blend into clients whose own hair isn’t naturally poker straight. The wave is set into the extensions during production and returns after washing, so there’s no need to recreate the texture every time you style.Available in 16″–28″ across our 70-shade colour collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right curl type for my client?
+

Match your client's own texture, not just the look they want. The range runs from Natural Wave, our softest, to Corkscrew Curl, our tightest.

Our Curl Texture Ring carries all seven curl patterns in real hair, so you can match against your client's natural curl in the chair before you order.

Why does curly hair look shorter than the length I ordered?
+

Lengths are measured with the hair pulled straight. Once the curl settles, expect 1 to 3 inches of shrinkage depending on the pattern, with the tightest curls (Classic Curl and Corkscrew Curl) at the upper end. Order by the finished length your client wants, plus that allowance.

What should I expect from curly colour and curl pattern? Curly shades read slightly darker, and curls soften naturally over time.
+

Colour: the curling process deepens the tone slightly, so curly hair can appear a little darker than the same shade on our colour ring.

Curl tightness: darker shades hold a slightly tighter curl, and lighter shades a slightly looser one, even within the same curl pattern.

How long the curl lasts: curl patterns typically last around 6 months. Some natural loosening can be expected over that time, and it can be accelerated by excessive washing and high heat styling.

How should curly extensions be washed and cared for?
+

Treat curly extensions like natural curly hair. Our recommended aftercare:

  1. Hydrate daily. Lightly mist with water and leave-in conditioner to keep curls soft, hydrated and defined. Focus on mid-lengths and ends.
  2. Detangle gently. Always detangle when damp, using your fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Start at the ends and work upwards.
  3. Define and refresh. Gently scrunch curls to restore their shape. Apply a small amount of lightweight hair oil to seal in moisture and reduce frizz.
  4. Wash less, condition more. Wash only when necessary to preserve curl definition and prevent dryness. Use a gentle, sulphate-free shampoo followed by a hydrating conditioner or mask.
  5. Protect overnight. Loosely braid or gather curls before bed and sleep on silk or satin to minimise tangling and friction.
  6. Minimise heat. Allow curls to air-dry whenever possible. Avoid excessive heat styling and always use heat protection.
Can curly extensions be heat styled or straightened?
+

Yes, with heat protection, as they are 100% Russian Remy human hair. The curl is set into the hair, so it returns once washed and left to dry naturally. Frequent high heat and excessive washing will gradually relax the pattern.

How long does curly hair take to arrive, and who can order it?
+

Every curly order is made to order, so allow 10 to 14 working days for delivery. Tracking is provided on every order.

The curly range is available to trade accounts only, in all 70 Blush+Wren shades. It is not available through Private Label, Brand Partner or the Custom Colour Suite.
