Weft Hair Extensions

Weft hair extensions can last anywhere from 8 to 12 weeks before needing to be reinstalled, depending on your hair growth and maintenance routine. The hair itself can often be reused for multiple installs when cared for properly and can last anywhere fro 6 months+

Most wefts are fitted using a beaded-weft (micro-ring) method: rows of small beads are placed along the head and the weft is sewn onto them - no heat or glue. Tape wefts and butterfly wefts are the exceptions, applied without sewing.

A genius weft - our Skinny Weft - is an ultra-fine, flexible micro-track with a flat seam and no return hair, so it lies flush to the head. Unlike a hand-tied weft it can be cut to length anywhere without fraying, making it faster and more versatile to fit on beads.

Both give a flat, lightweight row, but a genius weft is machine-finished with zero return hair and can be cut anywhere, while a hand-tied weft is knotted by hand and must never be cut or it unravels. Genius wefts are thinner and more durable over repeated refits; hand-tied has a premium artisan feel.

Weft extensions are an excellent choice if you're looking for maximum volume and a method that sits flat and secure against the scalp. While they may require a longer installation process, wefts are ideal for clients who want a natural-looking result with long-term wear and minimal adhesive. They're particularly great for those who prefer to avoid tapes near the root or who have thicker hair.

While weft extensions don’t directly cause new hair growth, their even weight distribution can reduce tension on the scalp compared to other methods. This may support a healthier environment for your natural hair by minimising breakage and strain. With proper installation and aftercare, many clients notice their hair feels fuller and healthier over time.
